Rangefinders are becoming increasingly popular amongst golfers these days and are legal in most amateur competitions, although not all and you should always check with your club .

My husband and I are both keen golfers and used to use the type of golf GPS for which you  have to download the course info  and pay for an anuual subscription, these were great in their day but very inconvenient and have by far been overtaken by the Bushnell rangefinder range of products.

In our golf club, Foxhills Golf Club they have become 'contagious', once people see how useful they are and how they can improve your score they suddenly become  the 'must have' golf accessory !

At Foxhills we are quite progressive and we are allowed to use them for club competitions and matches but this is not the case in more traditonal golf clubs so you do have to check with your own club if you want to use a golf range finder in competitions.

Of course, when you are not playing in official club or county competitions you can use them whenever you want.
They are of course officially approved by the R & A.

bushnell-rangefindersThe model both my husband and myself have is the Tour version and as you can see they've now come out with a pink version !

It did take a bit of practise before I got the hang of the golf rangefinder but after a couple of rounds I use it now with no problem.

Golf rangefinders are great for checking the distance to a hazzard and really gives you the confidence to go for your shots.

I would recommend giving the Bushnell Tour rangefinder a try !
